Job Description :
- To work collaboratively with DBAs, data scientists, and analysts to insure that the data needs of EA are being met.
- Help script, maintain, and create automated processes for pulling and reporting data
- Drive improvement in our methodologies, systems and processes
- Be actively engaged in assigned products and develop a deep understanding of game mechanics including gameplay and economy
- Have a deep understanding of large data, our data structures, and how to manipulate our data in an efficient manner
Candidate Profile :
- Graduating students encouraged to apply
- Large data sets should excite this person
- Strong analytical skills and facility with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, formatting)
- SQL knowledge a must
- Experience with BI and statistical software (Microstrategy, Tableau, R, etc.) and Hadoop a plus0
- C++, Java, HTML 5, HiveQL knowledge a plus
- Passion for gaming, understanding of free-to-play game mechanics in social and mobile games
- A desire to learn new methods in data mining/manipulation
- Background in statistics, software engineering, data mining, database administration, or other quantitative disciplines is highly valued
