Emoluments : Rs. 23000/-p.m. (consolidated) - for fresh candidates; Rs. 25000/- (Consolidated)-in case of candidates having more than one year's experience in the field of broadcasting.
Age Limit : 20 to 50 years as on 01.07.2014.
Languages : Arabic, Baluchi, Burmese, Indonesian, Swahili, Thai and Tibetan
Qualifications :
(a) Those who do not speak the language as their mother tongue should possess a Degree of a recognized university or equivalent with language concerned as one of the subjects. (b) Those who speak the language as mother tongue should have the language concerned as a subject at the high school/higher secondary level. Desirable : Experience in the field of broadcasting/print media etc
Selection procedure :
Candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criterion shall be required to undergo: (a) Written test to assess the language competence, ability to translate, General Knowledge, flair for writing for radio scripts.(b) Those candidates who qualify by securing minimum cut-off marks shall be required to appear for a voice test. (c) Final selection shall be made on the basis of combined score of written/voice test and interview
About the Company:
The Prasar Bharati Act provides for establishment of a Broadcasting Corporation, to be known as Prasar Bharati, to define its composition, functions and powers.[4] The Act grants autonomy to All India Radio and Doordarshan, which were previously under government control.[4] The Act received assent of President of India on September 12, 1990[1] after being unanimously passed by Parliament. It was finally implemented in November 1997. By the Prasar Bharati Act, all the property, assets, debts, liabilities, payments of money due, all suits and legal proceedings involving Akashvani (All India Radio) and Doordarshan were transferred to Prasar Bharati.
