Job Description
- Skill development on proprietary tools and limited functions
- Work with proprietary tools, using source material to apply basic navigation attributes including but not limited to: names, addresses, speed categories, functional class entry of roadways, intersection coding, restricted driving maneuvers, administrative and postal coding as well as various other basic attribute coding.
- Maintain compliance with database specifications and project requirements
- Perform quality checks on data input to test validity of data with the assistance of experienced Geographic Technicians
- Special project work as assigned
Desired Profile
- Bachelor’s degree (Geography or Geosciences preferred) or Engineering Diploma (3 years college/polytechnic education)
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of office software applications
- Basic analytical and problem solving skills
- Basic written and oral communication skills

We are seeking Associate Geographic Technician to as part of our Global Production Team in India. This position is based out of our production facility at SEEPZ, Andheri (East) & Navi Mumbai. As a member of a geo-coding or digitizing team, this position is responsible for utilizing digital and/or analogue source materials to create, update or modify NAVTEQ digital map databases through the use proprietary software. This position is under the direct supervision of a Project Leader and is regularly mentored by experienced Geographic Technicians. This is a training role lasting 18 – 36 months and is focused on learning and becoming proficient in the use of proprietary tools and adherence to database specification requirements.
